In other news...
On Lateline tonight Tony Abbott says: "If it is considered pornography on my computer, I don't see how it isn't pornography in an art gallery [or on a calendar, mousepad, credit card]," once again proving that context is irrelevant when it comes to offensive images in art.

He also states: "I mean, I haven't actually seen the works in question, but . . . [s]ometimes things are just wrong." We couldn't have said it better ourselves, Tony.

I am so glad that you are speaking out against this horrific abuse of childish innocence. This woman is a menace to society. Who knows what unspeakable acts have been perpetrated against these children? We have to draw a line in the sand or at least on notepaper without naked children on it.

You people are morons. How could you possibly think that Anne Geddes's photography are anything other than great works of art?
This article is a prime example of attention-seeking media trying to make some easy money through publishing a story that has nothing to do with facts and everything to do getting noticed, no matter what the cost is to other people and their potentially brilliant careers.
There are absolutely no sexual undertones to Anne Geddes work. Another example of where facts dont seem to get in the way of this ridiculous article.
No 'unspeakable acts' were 'penetrated' against any of the children. All photography was done in a strictly professional environment. And wouldnt Bronwyn Jean have remembered any form of ACTUAL abuse, seeing as she apparently remembers the photography taking place (highly doubtful as people's memories do not usually stretch back that far, and even so the memories in no way be clear or detailed)?

Try finding something vaguely useful to write about with your deplorable journalist skills.

how dare you attack poor bronwyn jean. typical 'blaming the victim' stuff.

what, do you think her nappy was too revealing? that she deserved it?

maxine, people like you make me sick. the first step toward healing is acknowledgment, and by denying b.j. a voice, you've denied her a life.

shame on you!

This would only be a case of 'attacking the victim' if there was any victim to attack. Bronwyn Jean is in no way a victim. There are no 'demons to confront'. This whole article and argument is a whole lot of bullshit because, once again, there is no substance in the subject matter.

It doesn't help that your argument makes no sense whatsoever.
'what, do you think her nappy was too revealing?'
.....that kind of proves MY point.

There is no need for acknowledgement because there is no need for 'healing'. It is unbelievable that one copy of her book would sell, or that anyone would take her seriously. Just proves how sad and gullible some people in this world are.
Shame on YOU for fitting in to this category.

maxine, it's ok. sometimes... we all have to repress traumatic memories.

sometimes it's easier to defend the criminal than to admit that that shocking, barbarian experience happened to you too..

i mean, i get the feeling maybe you had a personal experience with one of anne's 'photoshoots'..?

don't worry.
this is a loving forum.
we wont judge you. we would never ever judge you, because we would only be judging ourselves.

To alison:
I seriously thought this whole thing was a joke, then somehow realised that people were actually being serious. Well, as serious as you can get over something completely unrealistic and made-up.

To the next person:
No i have never been abused. This has nothing to do with anything. A pathetic argument: trying to pretend that someone has to have had issues relating to the subject in order to defend it. No sense whatsoever.
And anyway, YOU do not get to judge ME.

This argument is pointless and a waste of time: clearly if you believe something this ridiculous then theres no way an online argument is going to convince you otherwise.
Enjoy being misinformed and spouting your bizarre and absurd opinions.

Gee.. i wish I could remember when I was 6 months old!
100% agree with Maxine. Never really been a fan of Anne Geddes, but this is just ridiculous.
I love that B.J has brought up these accusations, yet she has posed naked for her book! HA! Photosensitive my ass.. or can i not say that word incase someone gets horny over it??

Ahhh anyway.. enjoy the money and attention this brings you guys!

No, I'm totally with Maxine on this one.
Just because I masturbate over Anne Geddes' artworks, it doesn't mean I'm a paedophile.
I love Maxine. I secretly hope that she is actually Maxine McKew, so that she can activate change.

Are you serious if you really have that idea that her work is pornography maybe you should reevaluate yourself. you are basically the pervert who pictures it as that. and the photographs are not done in a sexual way. they are art. and for your information Anne makes sure the children are well feed, warm , and relaxed also she has nurses around just incase of anything. so for the people that are judging Anne wrong you people are ignorant and the way people view things tells us how they are so if you think its pornagraphy you are a pervert. so stop being immature and stupid. and no one in this world is capable of having memory when they were 6 months please. it is proven that we gain memory by the age of 5 so its impossible for this idiot to remember shit like that. this is really upsetting because i myself have met Anne Geddes and she is a very wonderful and sweet lady that means no harm and that doesn't have a horrible nor perverted thoughts like all you ppl who agree with this lady. i work at her store and i can tell you she is loving caring . she even has a foundation against child abuse.

I Say......
This person had no idea what she's talking about Anne. Well it's her commemnt about this but like me that met her so many times and her family. how do you people think like this on such a great ART mostly for new baby. Anne wants people to see that babies are innocent that they don't know what's going on around them that babies should be protected and be love and be nature. Maybe everyone should check her biography from what she's been through since childhood until she got her famous i should say career and she's an artist that really care of the children that through her ART Work she's trying to reach everyone to save the babies no ABORTION or PROSTITUTION....Anne had a PHILANTHROPIC TRUST for CHOC she help those kids and babies that family can't afford. She donate 100% of the all the profit of her store to this Fund and all she want is to STOP CHILD ABUSE... NO BABIES WAS HARM AND ABUSE ON ALL HER WORK. MAYBE YOU SHOULD THINK FISRT BEFORE YOU JUDGE SOMEONE MOSTLY THE ONE TRYING ALL THIER BEST TO PREVENT AND SAVE ALL THE CHILDREN.....GOD BLESS YOUR SOUL WHO THINK THAT ANNE'S WORK WAS HORRIFIC OR ALL BABIES ARE BEING HARM AND PARENTS ARE FORCED TO DO THIS FOR THIER CHILD...THINK MILLION TIMES BEFORE YOU JUDGE...

Becuase Thomas Kincade is the only true master artist. Once I realized what true art is: NO PEOPLE, the I began to understand Geddes subtle message: babies are for eating.

She dresses them up like a fruit salad, and we are supposed to think it's OK? First they came for the watermelon baby, then they came for the baby on a hotdog bun, then they came for me. It's so obvious.

Anne Geddes work is a work of ART and that is ALL! if you think they're too revealing then that's YOU dudee.. cause its the parents that decide what their children do/don't wear in the photo-shoots. not you. gosh.
